What #REF! means
The formula points to a cell that no longer exists. In Spanish versions of Excel the same error appears as #¡REF!.
Common causes
- A row, column or sheet used by the formula was deleted.
- A formula was copied to a place where its references fall off the sheet.
- VLOOKUP asks for a column number larger than the table.
How to fix it
- Undo the deletion if you can.
- Rewrite the reference to the right cell or range.
